Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I stopped be here tonight to grab dinner since I'm staying at the hotel right next door. I looked at their menu on their website first so I had an idea what I wanted. I walked to this place and there was a gentlemen at the tent waiting to greet people. Then a lady working the front desk open the door for me so I think she was the host. They let me choose where I wanted to sit so I chose the table next to the bar. The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside but kind of dim where the bar is. I got the 609 Medaglione with targone salsa, I asked for the targone salsa on the side and used a English to Translator app since the waiter couldn't understand me. He never asked how I wanted my steak cook so I was interested to see how it comes out. I also ordered a coke for my drink. The food did take a while to come out but it was worth it. The filet mignon was cooked to medium rare and I actually like the targone sauce. The bacon was in the sauce so be aware of that. The gratin potato I thought was decent, just needed salt and ketchup but my overall meal was delicious. The service here was fine for me and I'm pretty sure they knew I'm American. I paid with my credit card and there was no option to leave tip."
"Nice Armosphere and good food considering it is Italian in Brazil. Here is the full menu for you."
"Pleasantly surprised for a tourist hotspot (it’s next to the Windsor hotels). I had the frying pan of garlic seafood, which was well cooked and delicious (squid, octopus and shrimp), followed by veal stuffed ravioli with a porcini cream sauce. Great wine selection (including many Brazilian options). Service was friendly and efficient. There are menus in English and the staff speak a little, which helped. Prices might be a bit higher than average given the location but it’s worth a visit."
"I have eaten here 3 times in 2 weeks. It is one of the best restaurants in Barra da Tijuca. The restaurant is very well managed. Sr. Paulo spoke excellent English and was very kind and helpful to me. All the waiters and bartender were the best. I cannot say enough good about this experience!"
"Pros Tasty food Excellent service Lovely ambience Cons A bit of waiting time A bit pricy Verdict Highly recommended if you are an Italian food lover"
"Excellent food and service, loved it so much we went back twice on vacation."
"Great food and great service. We had dinner two nights and must say that the service and food was excellent."
"Our venue for dinner on our first night in Rio and we were very impressed. The pizza was gluten free and wholewheat, topped with shiitake mushrooms, pecorino cheese and infused with white truffle oil and was absolutely divine! We also had the octopus served with broccoli rice which was delicious and filling. The wine list was excellent and we went for a 2016 Bourgogne Pinot Noir which topped off the meal perfectly. One small negative was that the air conditioning made it feel cold sitting inside. Otherwise amazing experience."
